Captain John W. Johnson is the director and one of the instructors for the school. He has been in the maritime industry since 1966 as a Commercial Fisherman and Merchant Mariner. Capt. Johnson currently holds a USGC License as Master, Oceans, 1600 GT. This school was founded by Capt. Johnson in 1996. All of our instructors hold a Coast Guard Masters License and they all have a wide variety of experience in the maritime field. We can get approval by the Coast Guard to hold classes in Cities and Villages anywhere in Alaska and anywhere in the United States.
